America was not a real democracy until the Voting Rights Act and the Civil Rights Act, and even after that it has remained far back in the pack in terms of liberal democracies, scoring slightly better than Hungary and probably recently passed by Poland. US democracy remains unevenly distributed.
"my least woke opinion is---"

That's enough. We've had enough people indulging in the "thrill of a little conservatism", as a treat. Of considering reactionary thought to be a salacious and taboo in a world descending into reactionary mania.

Give me your MOST woke opinions. We're bringing it back.

Each state having 13 months to develop policies and procedures, regulations, training staff, fitting this into the existing framework, etc.

Its a logistical nightmare.

Oh and its not like your state SNAP office is spending their whole time on these new additions. Still have everyday work tasks
States have 13 months to prepare for 2x eligibility for Medicaid exp. ind. as well as work requirements.

To suggest that “in the coming weeks” ~22million households will have to reapply, not including the people who have now fallen into eligibility will be apply en masse is fucking horrifying.

Turns out you can communicate across containers via 63-bits of available space in a shared lock you acquire on /proc/self/ns/time that all processes have access to.

No networking required. The post has a demo of a chat app communicating across unprivileged containers.

I spent two years in litigation hell. Trial was worse.

Thirty years of courtroom experience made me cocky, but the court fixed that.

This is the first and only time I talk about this case, as this is the case that made me think of quitting DFIR.

I don't like that Dems caved on the ACA subsidies. Primary everyone who did.

But they did secure SNAP funding, the thing that will kill people faster, for the whole year. When we go into the next shutdown at the end of January, the pain of the ACA subsidies being gone will no longer be hypothetical
