In addition to this being very confusing, it's heartbreaking to observe in people that you've come to care about. In your immediate vicinity and parasocially.
I (and perhaps you) get confused because we think intellect has to be connected with wisdom or thoughtfulness, but it just doesn’t. Intelligence is values-neutral and amplifies whatever it is pointed at.

I used to work at RadioShack in college and I once sold headphones to members of Hoobastank. They were super chill, grabbed the pair I recommended, and when I mentioned that I was a fan of their first album, they invited me to their show later that evening. Totally went and had a great time.

This is really quite amazing. I’m not sure what delights me the most. The fact that 2/3 of Joy is Sadness? Sadsad in its own category? Or perhaps the backwards ‘s’ in Aggressiv that resembles but is definitely not an ‘e’? Couldn’t choose.
