My undergrad thesis was about how we distinguish between revolutionaries and terrorists. The theorist whose ideas I found most appealing was Camus, who didn't let you sanctify violence in the name of ideology or greater good calculations. You must accept that moral weight if you choose to use it.

Whenever I see "AI ethics concerns" it's always crap like "should Claude have a social security number?!" and not "should OpenAI all be in jail for marketing ChatGPT like it's your friend and designing it to prioritize continuous engagement above all else?"
