Not sure people are getting the real importance of the Russians fooling Trump about the Ukrainians attacking Putin's house. It was to demonstrate just how much they control his thinking--how much he is in their pocket. And it worked.

For the first time, we're doing an entire season as one story.

This is the history of socialism, from the French Revolution to the fall of the Berlin Wall

On Sunday, the International Association of Genocide Scholars said that Israel’s nearly two-year military campaign in Gaza, which has killed tens of thousands of people and left swaths of the enclave in rubble, meets “the legal definition of genocide.”
Israel is committing genocide in Gaza, leading scholars' association says
Israel's foreign ministry called the resolution “disgraceful,” but it added to a growing chorus from rights groups concluding that Israel is committing genocide.

Thanks to Reform's polling and the sudden collapse of the old firewall separating the far right from mainstream politics, media and politicians are acting as if activists who are transparently the descendants of the NF and BNP are "ordinary people" with "reasonable concerns"

19 times.

That is the number of displacements the UNRWA colleague who took this photograph has had to endure since the war in #Gaza began.

Ongoing bombardments and displacement orders are forcing entire families to abandon their homes, once again, amid fear and destruction.

Anyone who has ever told you the lie that Boris Johnson scuppered a peace deal between Russia and Ukraine in Istanbul needs to listen to this interview with the man who was in the room when all of this happened.

This lie needs to be put to bed once and for all.

The number of people who told me last year that ‘it can’t get any worse for Gaza.’

But it always could get worse, things can always get worse- and they have.

We are now witnessing an official, full-blown, US-approved famine in Gaza.

Shameful.

On some routes, they are 26 times the price

Violent or destructive left wing protest is framed as delegitimising the protesters' stated cause.

Violent or destructive right wing protest is framed as emphasing the need for urgent action on the protesters' stated cause.

As always, right wing men are treated as elemental forces without agency.
This is a bit of a atretch/hope: there were 5 protests, with the largest two being up to 300 people, a total of around a thousand or so people.

"Air conditioning is a decadent indulgence while heating a home is just natural and normal" is 100% a Northern European and northeastern US cultural bias, per the research I've done on air conditioning

And as Northern Europeans and Northeastern Americans punch way above their weight culturally...
The anti-AC snobbery (while not being anti-heat) must derive from a Northern European bias.
We do need to find ways to sustainably meet air conditioning energy needs but 1. it uses less energy to cool a home than to heat one! and 2. i believe we are absolutely capable of figuring this out.

millions of people will straight-up die in the near future without AC access.

I know it's an ableist slur to call someone 'mental'.

So we should just call this what it is: fucking stupid
