Many, many, MANY studies show that the cumulative costs of harassing homeless people—cops, prison, jail, etc—are much more expensive than just housing them and providing income, and that doing those things helps people get to the point where they’re not in crisis any longer.

pretty weird how there's always billion dollars just lying around whenever ICE needs concentration camps but there's never any money when children need healthcare or a simple school lunch. oh well just one of those things I guess

So am I reading this court decision correctly? We now have 50 micronations with their own laws interpreting the U.S. Constitution wholly separate from one another? But there's one guy with private law enforcement who is immune from all punishment who can do whatever he wants in those 50 states?

It’s wild that in the video DHS posted in an effort to make the beating of an innocent landscaper (with 3 marine sons) seem justified there’s a masked ice goon pointing a gun at a random car passing by and they don’t seem to think it matters at all
