Just a reminder that George Conway is not fundraising right now to run against a MAGA republican.

He is fundraising to run against progressive Democrats.

Remember: Almost all of us are the descendants of immigrants who fled persecution, or were brought to America under duress, or sought better lives for themselves and their descendants.

Politicians who stoke fear and hatred over immigration want you to forget this.

Do not.

If the Venezuelan sailors were enemy combatants, then the 2nd strike is a war crime.

If the Venezuelan sailors weren’t enemy combatants, then both strikes are criminal murder.

It’s that simple.

This interview is a snapshot into where tech companies are with online harassment right now.

They know how to end it, but they decided not to spend the money. They’re prioritizing growth (and profit) above all else. And they’re blaming YOU for logging on to the platform they designed to be unsafe.

My takeaway from every new Epstein revelation is that some powerful people victimized many powerless young women, many more knew, some actively enabled it--and we're still being told that MeToo and accountability for sexual violence have gone too far

Which work? Calling for gay people to be stoned to death? Blaming airplane crashes on black pilots? Anti-vax bullshit? Election denialism? Pushing Great Replacement Theory?

Kirk’s murder is awful and ominous for this country. But no, we don’t need to honor him or “continue his work.”

The CEO of a a multi-trillion dollar company went to the White House, openly handed the US president a gift made of gold, and his company got a special exemption to tariffs the president has illegally imposed.

Also, the Founders took bribery so seriously the Constitution bans it 3 separate times.

The rich have never been richer.

Meanwhile, many Americans are struggling to get by.

What are Trump and Republicans doing about it?

Passing more tax cuts predominantly for the wealthy while making devastating cuts to the social safety net.

Every flashbang could instead be a meal for a poor kid. Every hotel room for a National Guardsman deployed to fire at our neighbors could house a homeless vet. Every "less-than-lethal" bullet pulled from a journalist's eye could be already needed healthcare for anyone else. All of this is a choice.

just in very plain terms: we send people to camps now if we, the government, deem it necessary, without due process. you can file a habeas petition in the united states district court with jurisdiction over el salvador, i guess.

His protection of Basque, made him a terrorist to the govt.
What is a cultural experience you’ve had that changed you forever?

A bus pass. The 95 bus. Being able to go to Moshe Safdie’s National Art Gallery of Canada on my own as a teenager.
What is a cultural experience you've had that changed you forever, in a good way? One of mine was taking Art History as a subject in high school and learning how to interpret and understand art - and that sometimes neither interpretation nor understanding outstrips how a piece makes you feel.
