This is a thread collecting various experts' advice about what congressional and state-level Democrats should be doing RIGHT NOW.

They are not helpless.
My mentions are filled with people insisting Senate Democrats are powerless.

They’re not. They can throw up roadblocks by denying unanimous consent, forcing quorum calls, using holds and filibusters, etc

It’s so easy to figure out even a dimwit like Tuberville managed to pull it off.
For anyone comparing O.N. to Hunter S. Thompson, I beg of you, read one book.

TurboTax is about to be integrated into ChatGPT, where customers will be guided through tasks tied to their tax filings or financial profile by the AI chatbot.

TurboTax owner Intuit is also paying OpenAI more than $100 million a year to power AI agents.

I will never forget having to edit Jamal’s final, posthumous piece for the Washington Post, after he was murdered.

He was calling for free expression in the Arab world. You can read it here :

Opinion | Jamal Khashoggi: What the Arab world needs most is free expression
The Arab world needs a modern version of the old transnational media so citizens can be informed about global events.

NEW: A democratic socialist adept at social media challenges the Democratic Party establishment in NYC.

But it's not Zohran Mamdani vs. Andrew Cuomo.

It's Chi Ossé vs. Hakeem Jeffries.

My take on the question everyone is asking:

Can Chi Ossé beat Hakeem Jeffries?

The "she does not own a car..." part is so telling. They just can't conceive of a politician who isn't already rich. She's not poor, just not one of the wealthy class of people who are allowed to be 'serious' political candidates.
You guys realize that taxing people to pay for services isn't socialism, right? This is just how governments work.

can we appreciate just how badly Johnson and Trump played this Epstein vote? total failure of a pressure campaign, delayed for months to ensure it stays in the news and immediately swamps "the Dems caved" as soon as the shutdown ends, and now it passes 427-1

couldn't have gone worse if they tried

We're primarying John Fetterman.

Last week, Fetterman again sold out working Pennsylvanians. He was the deciding vote for a Republican budget bill that will strip healthcare from over 400,000 Pennsylvanians.

We deserve real working class leadership in the Senate, not a Trump-enabling Democrat.
