Wondering why no one likes your posts anymore, even among your friends? It's because @jay.bsky.team and team have decided to hide a huge amount of content from all of our feeds by default.

Here's how to turn it off.

I have a new story out today @maudlinhouse.bsky.social! Writing it was heavily inspired by the increasing cost of groceries and general anxieties around money and trying to live a stupid little life!

one of the strangest things is seeing how many people are fed up already with mass manufactured food (a narrative of the past 20 years: let's make tomatoes taste like tomatoes again!!) and yet are onboard with mass-manufactured art whose only intent is yield rather than being a specific object

Struggling with deep panic, so to channel that productively, I'll post a reminder my partner and I just started a tiny bookstore. To be sustainable, we need to make enough to move into the building's front space to get foot traffic. ALL purchases, local or not, help a ton:

This kid at the bar asked if we wanted to see his finger which he had recently almost severed. He said he was cutting shrooms when it happened. He ended up taking the shrooms, passing out, and didn't go to the ER until the next morning. When I asked how old he was, he said "22." I was like, Ah.
