Just so we're super clear: Everyone who was happy to accept Personal Responsibility™️ as a replacement for a robust public health response to covid signed the permission slip for the gutting of our food safety infrastructure.
Not only is food more expensive, it is much more likely to make you sick and harm you, or give your baby botulism

If you're in the US, today is a great day to donate to a Native American nonprofit. For the last few years, I've been giving to the Wôpanâak Language Reclamation Project, which is working to restore the language of the Wampanoag nation in Massachusetts: www.wlrp.org

I am a simple man, but I truly believe that "Get some rest, Pam. You look tired" is a perfect last line. Right up there with "Forget it, Jake. It's Chinatown."

The MA Antisemitism Commission has approved its final report conflating Judaism with Zionism.

We respond: "The Commission has done more to fuel rising authoritarianism and antisemitism than to create the conditions that promote Jewish safety"

Why anyone would need to listen to Eric Clapton when Peter Green has been *right there* almost the entire time is beyond me.

She's running for reelection on a single issue platform: A leopard for every face.
MTG: “.. “I am now being contacted by private security firms with warnings for my safety as a hot bed of threats against me are being fueled and egged on by the most powerful man in the world. .. The man I supported and helped get elected.”

I absolutely believe there is footage of Oscar Isaac and Jacob Elordi doing this while goofing around between takes, and I shall not rest until it is found.

alright let’s get something more pleasant going. what two books would you leave out on your coffee table so a reporter can mention you have them. doesn’t matter if you’ve read them. for me it’s Pale Fire (which I did read) and Ulysses (got like 15% of the way in)

The alternative, that they recognize what's happening for what it is and approve of it, is so much worse that I can barely stand to contemplate it.
seems to me that those democrats inclined not to fight perceive themselves as living through a somewhat ordinary cycle of presidential overreach and backlash and not something much more significant and dangerous

Begging people to understand that Project Esther has nothing to do with actual antisemitism or the safety of American Jews. It is entirely about suppressing pro-Palestinian sentiment in the US, and is a convenient tool to get people to blame Jews for the kind of damage that NHJ is describing here.
The Heritage Foundation has an anti-Semitism task force even as Project 2025 seeks to dismantle civil rights enforcement and anti-racism work and staff “revolted” not over Fuentes’s explicit racism. Instead, anti-Semitism claims are being used to dismantle multiculturalism at universities.
