I can't trust politicians who are anti-trans. Not because I'm "only searching for perfection" which is what centrists will be accusing me of for the rest of my life, it's because if you're not pro-trans you'll be garbage on lots of other issues too. Being anti-trans NEVER exists in a vacuum.

This is how it’s done. Total control. Not one shred of power sharing with Republicans.
Wow

The night before Spanberger’s inauguration

She’s cleared house at UVA

Top Youngkin appointees resign

Spanberger should be able to easily replace them given Dem trifecta

The former CIA officer asserting her control

I think this also makes the Mets way more likely to sign Valdez or Gallen than they were this morning because the penalty for a second QO guy is so much less than the penalty for the first

I think as panic moves go signing the clear best player remaining on the market to short-term is about the least problematic one you can make, but I do think it is very acutely a severe panic move and probably driven by PR, yes
This feels like a defensive signing, as in something they felt compelled to do. And like I don't feel like it's necessarily wrong, and they've done well to rebuild farm wise. But, there's a point to pivot/change from here?

keeping him away from philly is good, no idea where he's playing but a good problem to have
Infielder Bo Bichette and the New York Mets are in agreement on a three-year, $126 million contract, sources tell ESPN.

After losing the Kyle Tucker sweepstakes, the Mets pivot quickly and get one of the best players left on the market. @WillSammon was first on the deal.

The only person surprised by this is Chuck Schumer.
NEW: Senate ACA funding talks collapse

Even the optimists are now pessimistic.

Senate is gone for a week.

Open enrollment ends today.

Blame game is intensifying.

Most Republicans want this money gone; looks like they’ll get it.
