Both issues are almost certainly made worse by a neuroinvasive virus which causes anxiety and affects executive functioning, leading to increased aggression and diminished resiliency.

If you knew anything about Canadian politics you’d know, yes immigration has been mismanaged, but stagnating living standards is at the feet of corrupt provincial governments. Who have robbed public coffers and destroyed public services to bend the knee to privatization lobbyists.

Basically Trump & the GOP folded on this move because it was happening in a Red State, & everyone on the ground there absolutely hated it. It's a lot harder to depict this as reasonable when it's happening in their own backyard, under the rule of their own state party
