No. Increasing a police presence in schools creates unintended outcomes, including racial profiling and increased suspensions, expulsions, and arrests. In combination, these can feed a “school to prison” pipeline — which, by any definition, decreases school safety. www.thetrillium.ca/insider-news...

Increasing school resource officers (SROs) is based on U.S. policy, post-Columbine, to address school shootings. If anything, the growth of SROs combined with more school shootings show that this is failed policy. Why are we modelling irrelevant and failed U.S. policy in Ontario?

Please be a CHRISTMAS MIRACLE for my dear friend!!

Naser is DYING in the ICU!! His organs are failing.
Without surgery, he will die. At 32!!!

This is genocide - killing young people of treatable conditions by looking the other way.

Please, I beg you, save Naser’s life.
His babies need him.💔

Anyway fuck Fortnite.

Yes, it's pages and pages of redacted information and that's infuriating. But ffs, you can be mad at that without making light of abuse. The vast majority of the victims are still alive and watching people "on their side" make jokes.

🧵 Looking ahead, here's what we're watching in 2026:

The CDC could further alter the childhood vax schedule. This month, a CDC panel ended a long-standing recommendation that all newborns get a birth dose of the hepatitis B vax, endangering public health gains.

The ACIP committee cited misinformation to suggest that the benefits of the vaccine, which prevents liver disease and cancer, may not outweigh the risks.

The province-level Conservative Party (UPC) in Alberta is using the “Notwithstanding Clause” a STAGGERING 4TH TIME IN UNDER 2 MONTHS to ignore the Canadian Charter of Rights & Freedoms. In this Alberta Govt, extremist ideology is clearly a lot more important than human rights and the rule of law.
Premier’s use of the Charter of Rights & Freedoms “Notwithstanding Clause” is supposed to be VERY RARE, to address blatant Judicial overreach.

Smith in Alberta would use it to blatantly erase human rights, the CORE OF THE CHARTER.

Ford in Ontario would use it to backstop his own BLATANT OVERREACH.
Just in case you weren’t sure how awful Doug ford is. The courts ruled against him based on the Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms because PEOPLE WILL DIE IF HE REMOVES SAFE BIKE INFRASTRUCTURE. So he’s considering ABUSING the Notwithstanding Clause just for ego and some cheap suburban votes.
