i haven't been paying much attention to mainstream media, even thru here/twitter commentary, but have they been shocked? is anyone surprised (not asking sarcastically)? are they disgusted and revolted, saying how this isn't america?
or is it just more fascism stenography?

i do not like that bluesky doesn't give the option of viewing blocked account skeets. it makes it difficult to follow threads and quoteskeets if there's no way to even know what blocked account they're responding to, let alone what they're saying.

I remember when ICE perpetrated a mass kidnapping in Morristown in Tennessee, the victims were shipped to Louisiana before anyone knew where they were.
Think a lot of people are learning about the regular practice of shipping people across the country after they’re detained by law enforcement. This is a thing not only at the federal but local level as well. People arrested in Houston are being jailed in Mississippi.

*right now*, i feel like this is true, but demo is always the easiest phase of construction. and while trump clearly isn't actually puppeting everyone, it's only a matter of time before someone who encompasses all of the different factions destroying things now fills that void and takes control.
This is increasingly my read, too, and it gives me some hope.
Trump is too impulsive to puppet effectively, these chucklefucks on the inside are working at cross-purposes.
These people don't know how to build anything, including a dictatorship.

nothing i've seen in the last (almost) two weeks has made me think these people can consolidate a hybrid regime, its actually the opposite, but it has made me much more cognizant that they can still fuck up a lot of things in ways that will be nearly or actually impossible to unfuck
