I've noticed here at home that headlights are too blinding and for some strange reason, on road markings are now nearly invisible at night, especially in the rain.

A quick and direct "Hey, please check out my thing!" is always better than following/unfollowing/refollowing someone you hope will check out your thing :/

Yes, I noticed you. But not in a good way, now.

Why shouldn’t governments invoke the notwithstanding clause, if there is no political cost or moral hazard? If voters don’t hold them accountable? If we just shrug and turn the page? #ableg #abpoli #abheritage #Alberta #DelwinVriend #LeilaniMuir

I am pretty sure that when Merv Leitch and Peter Lougheed first created the notwithstanding clause, they didn’t mean it to be deployed to bully and oppress literal school children. #ableg #abpoli #TransRightsAreHumanRights #Alberta #notwithstandingclause

well, fuck. You just knew the Charge was left out of every discussion, but sucks to find out for sure. Hope they don't go to the states. Wonder if Hamilton is an option? Quebec City would prob love any team at this point. Too bad Kingston's rink is also small because then fans could commute #PWHL 🏒

The government on the brink of collapse as half of parliament yells out an annoyed "C'mon Gord" reads like a broad parody of Canada

Had a meeting with a member of a large Canadian Govt institution today. At the end we both kinda stared at each other for a sec.

Them: "the vote's today right?"
... yeah
"god I hope it's not a mess"
SAME. I do not want an election for Christmas.
"Such a waste of money. Anyway, call you in a week!"

JUST READING THIS STRESSES ME OUT
I think Nintendo should lean all the way in on Samus getting quipped to the whole game. The nerd guy should die but the alien planet absorbs him and all the mushrooms on the planet should talk to you in his voice. They should ask Samus about her weekend plans. Make it a complete introvert nightmare.

Somewhere along King St (Cobourg, here for hockey bc ofc) some store is blasting Christmas music. I mean, fine, it's at least after Remembrance Day. "White Christmas" is still funny to hear after everyone bitched about the recent snow ^_~
I absolutely don’t get the performative hate for Last Christmas by Wham. It just hit my TikTok feed with footage of the snow in Montreal. Great track.

hey remember how that one big tech ceo was on a panel in like 2021/22 where someone asked him about how remote work gave a lot more power to the workers and he chuckled and said “yeah well a little recession will take care of that”

I think about that often.
Just fucking insane to see the absolute (intentional) collapse of full remote jobs available for AAA studios in so short a time. Why would I EVER move for a job again when I could be laid off weeks after moving my entire life across the globe??

Thanks to a wonderful lovely amazing no-one-could-ask-for-better friend picking up my slack, I got to spend tonight doing vain 'self-care' stuff. Loooong shower! Even used the fancy soaps!

Highly recommend getting yourself a nice soap; switch it up once in a while. Feels special with zero effort :)

Computers were a skill. They were taught in classrooms as a skill. Skills give you power over your tools because you work them as an expert and that is leverage to multiply externally.

And then computers became an A/B tested telemetry-based advertising conduit to brains for SaaS recurring revenue.
