I've noticed here at home that headlights are too blinding and for some strange reason, on road markings are now nearly invisible at night, especially in the rain.

Had a meeting with a member of a large Canadian Govt institution today. At the end we both kinda stared at each other for a sec.
Them: "the vote's today right?"

"god I hope it's not a mess"

Somewhere along King St (Cobourg, here for hockey bc ofc) some store is blasting Christmas music. I mean, fine, it's at least after Remembrance Day. "White Christmas" is still funny to hear after everyone bitched about the recent snow ^_~

Thanks to a wonderful lovely amazing no-one-could-ask-for-better friend picking up my slack, I got to spend tonight doing vain 'self-care' stuff. Loooong shower! Even used the fancy soaps!
Highly recommend getting yourself a nice soap; switch it up once in a while. Feels special with zero effort :)

boston sent vital assistance following the 1917 halifax harbor explosion (so awful it killed 1700 people), and as thanks, nova scotia has sent us a christmas tree every year. it’s a nice little tradition. this is the first time the boston mayor visited to retrieve it in person
