looking back, edutainment software didn't edu much and the tainment was pretty awful, too
i feel the same way about the new trend of "productivity games" that try to recapture lost attention spans because it's just tech solving another problem tech created

a tech company would add cameras, sensors, and ai to scan the dishes, pretend to "optimize the wash" by not actually doing anything but saying it did, then it'd monitor the interior for activity it'd constantly get wrong while alerting you via some smart home nonsense
and it'd be a subscription

while they're shoving all this garbage ai tech into everything, we still don't have a dishwasher with a simple scale that weighs its contents at the end of each cycle and auto-changes its Clean display (that it also has) back to Dirty as soon as either all the weight is gone or new weight gets added
