I think the most common answer would be Sunk Cost Fallacy. People have spent over a decade building a brand on Twitter, so the idea of starting from scratch after all that work is terrifying
If Twitter or X or whatever was launched today, with the kind of audience it primarily has now, those type of posts/replies, and the stuff its AI Grok spews out as "fact", none of us would be anywhere near it, so I can't for the life of me understand why anyone vaguely decent is still posting there
