The media going along with the labeling of "DEI" as a discriminatory practice when it is actually for the purpose of COUNTERING discrimination legitimizes yet another hi-jacking of progressive language by regressive racist Repubs.

Seriously wondering if we should have cis men in movement at all? They are the most uncaring, least helpful ppl in our communities…

I can’t wait for more Black folks to join this platform. The ⚪️s on here are so boring and unfunny.

While the rest of us are community building and just trying to survive this new hellscape, this is what white women are posting on the internet. I hope all the toilets on your cruise ship break 💩
So since I don’t have to work until February 3, I decided to book a cruise to the Bahamas next week for me and my mom. Nothing like last-minute planning!

Altadena, population nearly 42,000, is the town where the Rev. Martin Luther King Jr. visited. Where sci-fi author Octavia E. Butler is buried alongside abolitionists. Where a park is named after Charles White, a local artist whose work portrayed Black history.

The Altadena fire wiped out much of a historic black enclave in this picturesque town in the San Gabriel Valley.

Clean Air Club offered tens of thousands of dollars worth of free air filter equipment to Los Angeles schools last month and over 25 of them rejected the offer out of hand due to denial, bad politics and disinformation.

The billionaire and right-wing response to LA being on fire is to blame everything but capitalism and the climate chaos it brings. The homeless, Democrats, anything except their greed. They don't care how many homes burn or how many people die -- as long as they keep profiting.

A Paywalled Fire Evacuation Map is exactly what I would expect from a country that will stop paying for your anaesthesia halfway through your surgery.

In 1850, the California government banned the controlled burning that Indigenous people had been doing for centuries. The practice controlled the forest density, scaled down undergrowth, and promoted fire-resistant species. It reduced the severity, mileage, and overall number of forest fires. 1/5
