Boston is getting $252 million over the next 15 years for the White Stadium renovation. It’s the largest community and public benefits deal in our city’s history.

An underrated factor in "why don't people in wealthy societies have more kids" is changing societal norms that now expect even older kids to be chaperoned by an adult any time they are in public, and to be chauffeured by a parent as their only means of transportation
Older generations spent a lot less time parenting. Millennial dads spend nearly as much time parenting as Boomer moms did. Millennial and Gen X moms way more.

Ain’t it fun dressing actors up after 25 years, milking their presence in promos, for what’s inevitably gonna be less than 10 mins of screen time before they all get killed?

This is perfect. The DOJ's embarrassing snafu with disappearing redactions was the fault of Elon Musk. Musk cancelled government subscriptions to Adobe programs that would have made the redactions permanent. What a pack of fools.

Now one year into NYC congestion pricing:

* Vehicle traffic: -11%
* Foot traffic: +3.4%
* Storefront vacancy: -0.9%
* Pollution: -22%
* Revenue for mass transit: $548M
As we celebrate NYC congestion pricing never forget that Gov. Kathy Hochul indefinitely postponed it in June 2024 citing anti-congestion propaganda like "Broadway shows will suffer" (they haven't) & "pizza places will close en masse" (they didn't) & "New Jerseyians won't come to city diners" (lol)
Congestion pricing by the # ‘s 6 months in:
* 67k fewer drivers entering zone daily
* Delays in Holland Tunnel down 65%
* Traffic deaths down 32% so far in 2025
* $500m projected this year for MTA capital improvements
* B’way attendance +12%
* Subway ridership +7%

So yes this program is a SUCCESS.

From 2018 to 2024, the tax rate paid by eight major retailers was slashed from 30% to just 17.5%.

The CEOs of those major retailers were paid a collective $1.3 billion.

Meanwhile, the average worker at those stores was paid less than $32,000 in 2024.

Nothing trickled down.

But if we say, "You know you can't trust big tech. Maybe you should use AI that isn't so bad for the planet, or your job, and doesn't tell kids to kill themselves, and isn't owned by the worst people in the world. And it's coming soon." *They will listen.* The proof? You're here. On an alternative.
