I think leaving aside whether it's a good strategic idea the reason Dem leaders don't want to talk impeachment isn't because it's not popular in the country, it's because they're worried it's not popular *in a bunch of competitive congressional seats that voted for Trump in 2024*

One of the pernicious things about GOP domination of the Gerrymandering Wars is that even in what could be a wave Dem year they're gonna have to win a bunch of red-tinted seats and that means candidates who think they have to run like squishy moderates to win (and to win and then hold the seats)

Of all the examples of people dying because somebody inexperienced was in charge, the biggest, most horrifying was Elon Musk and DOGE. No idea what AID did, didn’t care, blew it up and at least 600,000 people died unnecessarily as a consequence. Mass murder out of ignorance and bias. Thanks, Elon.

I keep saying this but no one is connecting the dots. The war is to satisfy legal preconditions for mass removal *domestically* of Latinos (i.e., suddenly a lot of people are going to be “Venezuelan” for purposes of removal). This is 100% Stephen Miller…oil claim is to make grandpa go along
There is no national security logic that would impel the US to want to do regime change in Venezuela. It's simply not that important. I'm not even sure wag the dog is the right metaphor for what's happening here. Seems like an insane misallocation of US national security assets and attention.
