If you're looking to counter a friend or family member's misconceptions about Zohran Mamdani, we did a convenient rundown debunking all the smears (so far):
Debunking All the B.S. About Zohran Mamdani
Zohran Mamdani, the Democratic nominee for mayor of New York, is facing a wave of Islamophobic misinformation attacking his character and politics

I got permission to share this, and I'm extremely grateful for that.

The Onion got this letter from one of our subscribers in Alaska. She works with dementia patients and decided to leave a copy in the car for each one.

This email made my year. Read it and you'll see what I mean. People are good.

His victims got on the stand and shared some of the most horrific stories and he was acquitted anyway.

This is why I get so angry when people blame victims for not speaking up or walking away. Why? Who will protect them, believe them, and guarantee proper justice?

The media coverage around the Florida concentration camp seems familiar.

From the NYT covering the opening of Dachau in the summer of 1933.

This is the rhetoric of a country about to do a genocide
This from Tommy Tuberville may be the most racist things a U.S. senator has said in my lifetime. And the bar is high.

Birthright citizenship is a Constitutional RIGHT. Any attack on it is an attack on us all.

This is an attempt by far-right justices to attack immigrant communities and remove protections from any American who questions Trump.

Your rights are nonnegotiable. We can’t compromise on that basic fact.

So am I reading this court decision correctly? We now have 50 micronations with their own laws interpreting the U.S. Constitution wholly separate from one another? But there's one guy with private law enforcement who is immune from all punishment who can do whatever he wants in those 50 states?

It's not hyperbole to call this case the death of meaningful constitutional rights in the United States. If you do not have an attorney that can litigate against the government, you no longer have rights. This will go down in history as the gutting of the constitutional order.

This is insanely radical. The government could announce a blatantly unconstitutional action such as ending birthright citizenship and strip people of their citizenship unless they each individually sue. Class actions are possible but they could take weeks to months to certify and seek relief.

In a deathblow to the ability to stop blatantly lawless and unconstitutional actions by the government, the Supreme Court just gutted the ability to get universal injunctions.

I think one of the big takeaways here is not that Mamdani is a generational talent as some assert but rather that people in this country are so hungry for politicians with actual vision that any reasonably charismatic young socialist who puts in a strong ground game can pull this off elsewhere

One of the things mentioned here is that they arrived in unmarked cars and wore casual clothing, so if staff hadn’t had the courage to tell them to go away, how would you know they were federal agents and not random adult men abducting children? This should be the biggest conservative mom panic ever
BREAKING: Federal agents in plain clothes and unmarked cars tried to snatch 1st graders from LA elementary schools—told staff they had “parental consent.”

They lied. When pressed, they HID THEIR IDS. DHS admits they sent them. This wasn’t a welfare check. It was a test run for a police state.
