I disagree. We need to recognize that in our system we elect individual representatives, not captives to a party cult. They should be free to decide how to represent their riding, and can be turfed at the next election if we don't like what they do.
Floor crossing is one of the more egregious behaviours our "democratic" system allows. Utterly self-serving. Anyone wishing to cross the floor should be subject to an immediate by-election. toronto.citynews.ca/2025/11/05/p...

Violating a trade agreement arbitrarily with foreign partners is not a domestic sovereign matter.
Bessent: "I've read that Ontario is spending up to $75 million on these advertisements and it's propaganda coming across our border to decry the tariffs. The premiere of Ontario seems to have come off the rails a little ... this is interference in US sovereign matters."

Here’s the original clip of Ronald Reagan from April 25, 1987, where he delivered a complete and total rebuke against tariffs. Trump's calling Reagan’s words here “FAKE” and “fraudulent.” They’re 100% real. And the original clip is actually far worse for Trump, as much is left out of the ad:

So … by this logic, the Founding Fathers were apostates for not founding a theocratic monarchy?
Chip Roy: "The truth is the marxist, radicals, and Islamists the Democratic Party promoted this weekend, they cannot handle the truth. The truth is that there is a king and that king is Jesus. And the president has been willing to say it, & Charlie Kirk was willing to say it & he got killed for it."

It's honestly just sad how easy he is to manipulate.
Trump: "Vladimir Putin said something- one of the most interesting things. He said 'your election was rigged because you have mail in voting. It's impossible to have mail in voting & have honest elections.' He said that to me because we talked about 2020. He said, 'you won that election by so much'"

It was outright shameful
I asked the PM what he makes of Trump's complaining about Vladimir Putin's feelings.
"It was personally offensive, to put it mildly, to the citizens of Ukraine and the inhabitants of Crimea when Russia invaded in 2014," Carney says.
