Gender-affirming care saves lives
1. A landmark study was just published in The Journal of Pediatrics.

It found a 68% reduction in suicidality for trans youth getting HRT.

It also found only 7 of more than 400 stopped taking HRT... and of those that did, 4 still identified as gender-diverse.

Transgender care saves lives.
Study In The Journal Of Pediatrics Finds Trans Youth Care Lowers Suicidality, Few Detransition
The groundbreaking study found that suicidality dropped for transgender youth receiving hormone therapy by nearly 70%, with only 7 patients of 432 discontinuing treatment.

I’m so happy that my kid is finally of an age where dragging her around interesting places is fun for us all. Not just us going to places she finds fun or her being bored while we try and have fun.
We can have fun mamma & kid outings.

I suspect it’s a narrow window but I will ENJOY!

Discovering how much body dysmorphia I have as a cis woman is interesting, at my age.
Makes me wonder what other ideas I have about myself that are also wrong.

So, basically, a pretty little trans lassie could use the loos just fine (as she should, BTW), but a strapping cis woman, like, say, an international rugby player, because those ladies are gloriously solid in the shoulder and leg, would not be allowed to.

Claire Sharpe gets the "lifted my heart and inspired me today" award. Not a big award but I am grateful and admiring. Hell yeah.
A cycling influencer nominated for a list of top 100 women cyclists said she has declined the honour due to the decision not to include trans women.

Claire Sharpe, a cycling coach from Bristol, said: "If they don't want to ride with all women, then it's not the kind of ride I want to be part of" 👏🏻

Jewelry often has a value beyond the practical, it's often a reminder of loved ones.
Could this timeline be a little less reminiscent of 1930ies Germany?
The Sun has been told Home Secretary Shabana Mahmood will on Monday propose confiscating jewellery, watches, necklaces from asylum seekers to meet asylum costs

This reflects the most controversial aspect of the Danish scheme - the Jewellery Law. The toughest Labour MPs thought this was OTT

It is an honor to have been alive at the same time as Alice Wong.
Alice Wong, a writer and activist who was born with muscular dystrophy and who fought relentlessly for equal rights and access for people with disabilities, died on Friday. She was 51. nyti.ms/4r9WqEr
