I am seeing a LOT of people misleadingly say "The senate will not pass this, they'll filibuster."
IF Democrats filibuster, that means the government shuts down. This was a major reason the NDAA restrictions on tricare for trans youth passed last time, Dems did not filibuster.

This wouldn't just ban federal funds from directly funding gender-affirming care, it would be an effective ban on ANY facility that receives ANY federal funding for ANY reason from providing gender-affirming care.
It's a de-facto ban.

The way they would accomplish banning trans gun ownership is by having the ATF along with another federal agency or board such as HHS declare anyone with gender dysphoria has a "mental illness" that makes them a "danger to [themselves] or to others" under U.S.C. § 922(g)(4) and 27 CFR § 478.11.

The Trump administration is moving to strip trans people of their 2nd amendment rights. Nothing good ever comes out of an authoritarian regime stripping a minority group of owning guns.
