I cut my finger on the toothpaste lid. I am both confused and impressed.

And looking at it purely from the economic side; data centers provide few jobs, eat up a massive amount of infrastructure service, and the leftover utility costs not covered by the deal that's reached with town and county is covered by, you guessed it, us. They -say- that's not the case, they lie.
It seems like every single mid-size town in Wisconsin is falling over themselves to accept a data center construction deal- ceding any land they want to tech interests, and no one listens when we say they just want our fresh water.

I really need to get to bed, but I just poked my head out the back door again. This is the view from my deck. All of this is looking south. When the geomagnetic storms are like this, the oval overshoots me and stretches into the US, which is why so many are seeing it tonight. #aurora

Friendly reminder that dishwashers made after 1995 or so are so water and energy efficient that even if you ran them twice fully loaded it would still use less water than handwashing the same load.

So many "green" things feel like sacrifices. Dishwashers are not one of them.

This is a free, unending blanket writ of permission for anyone to message me if they need help finding an artist. I HAVE REQUESTED MANY COMMISSIONS AND MY ROLADEX IS BOUNTIFUL.
I hate AI.Beyond the obvious reasons; I've had THREE commissions this month fail because the artist tried to pass off something that was clearly AI as hand-drawn.

Was always hard to find exactly the style I want; good luck finding *reputable*

Special circle of hell for those who lie about art.

This Remembrance Day, I think of family who fought in and were affected by wars. I think of the good and bad that they passed down, the wisdom and the trauma. I look ahead and hope that the peacemaking efforts around the world succeed, and that we reach a time where war no longer scars us.
