Hi Everyone!
I'm Heather. A lot of new people have joined me in the last 24 hours so I thought I'd answer some frequently-asked questions.

1. Where do you live? - I live in Manitoba, Canada in a provincial park on Lake Winnipeg. It is a wild area of the boreal forest, but not remote. 1/
I really loved this dried flower canopy at The Leaf in Assiniboine Park. It’s part of one of the seasonal displays. #Winnipeg.

It pays to look up. I found this adorable guy sound asleep several meters up in an old tree. Never once cracked an eyelid. #mammals 🌿

He'd lost three other cows than the one we saved the week before, so it was definitely in his interest. He was also just a nice guy :)

I know that a few always stick around all winter, but I never expect to see a robin before April. This was one of two that were hanging out in Winnipeg. #birds 🌿

It started with a dairy cow we found the week before. We found the farmer and got her out. A week later, we found this poor girl. We went back to get the farmer because I can't lift a moose on my own anymore than a cow. After this, the farmer fenced off this and the other holes in the forest.

I rescued a moose once. She had fallen into an open pit well and couldn’t get out on her own. It took three people and a rope to pull her out. She was pretty calm for the whole thing. We took the rope off, and she trotted off with a pat on the rump.

I wish there was something I could do to help, but know I’m thinking about you and hoping the treatment plan helps.

Sorry for the delay, Jim. You want something with a fair amount of tooth so it can take multiple layers. I recommend either Bristol paper or hot press watercolour paper. Something smooth and relatively heavy.

The original sailed into Hudson Bay. I can't even imagine.

Yes, for the most part.

That's awesome! This one was much harder to see. I was worried I was going to wake him up with all my bumbling around in the snow.

I was pretty excited when I spotted a little arm sticking out of the crotch of the tree :)

It was pretty special, thanks. I was worried my bumbling around looking for a clear shot would wake him up.

I'm late to the party (it's been a busy weekend) but I had to post at least one #SuperbOwl before calling it a day :) #birds 🌿

I’ll have to try and find it on YouTube. I don’t have television.

I’m a big fan of one of the new warming hut installations along the Nestaweya river trail in #Winnipeg. I always love it when someone makes one out of snow.

That is a superb owl, Glen 😍
