I had my disagreements with the BBC under Tim Davie but he was a decent man doing a difficult job.

To see Trump's White House claiming credit for his downfall and attacking the BBC should worry us all.

Scrapping the two-child cap could lift 470,000 children out of poverty.

If the Government wants national renewal, it must invest in our greatest asset: young people.

Give them the best chance in life—better education, more opportunity, and we all benefit.

It’s common sense.
Is the government about to lift the two-child benefit cap?
Pre-conference pressure means the policy could be abolished next week. But why has it taken so long?

Another data point highlighting Welsh Govt’s *disastrous* decision back in 2006 to refuse full devolution of rail in Wales (infrastructure and services). The single worse decision since the return of the Welsh Parliament in 1999. #Cymru #Wales
From next Monday, your rail commute will be cheaper.

We’re scrapping peak rail fares in Scotland for good.

Under the SNP, public ownership of rail means fairer prices – making travel cheaper, greener and easier for everyone.

It's simple, if you throw paint on a plane then you get proscribed and any 80 year olds defending you get arrested.

If you ask people to burn down hotels, and they try, you get an interview in the Telegraph and positive coverage in the BBC.

That's sensible, proportionate policing.

All of us at @childreninwales.org.uk are shocked & saddened to hear the news about Hefin David. Hefin’s valuable contributions to Welsh policy-making, in particular to support children with additional learning needs, will be sorely missed. We send our condolences to his family, friends & colleagues

Voters across the political spectrum want to "take back control" with public ownership 👇👇👇

It would bring down bills and improve how the country works

Where is the focus, where is the airtime on this incredibly popular policy that would make our lives better? 💧⚡️📮🚌🚄🏥

Brilliant campaigning from @savechildrenuk.bsky.social

Are the UK government listening yet?
This is a message to Keir Starmer.

Almost 40,000 MORE children are missing out on the support they need because of the two-child limit than there were last year.

We urge the UK Government to scrap the two-child limit now.

this is the level of funding where all the possibilities for American politics that have been described as hyperbolic over the past decades - the comparisons to Nazi Germany and other nightmares of the 20th century - become logistically possible and politically likely
If the GOP reconciliation bill passes, ICE gets through FY2029:

- $45 billion for detention, on top of the current annual budget of $3.4 billion
- $14.4 billion for transportation and removal, on top of the current annual budget of $750 million
- $8 billion for hiring/retention
- Billions more.
