Another development to this story - some beautifully preserved wicker panels (with thanks to York Archaeology again) which presumably formed part of another fish weir. A Saxon date seems likeliest given their proximity to the previous structures.

On site with CFA Archaeology at Milford Mill, working with the developer to conserve the World Heritage water management of the 1782 print/bleach mill - leats, wheel pit, bridges and tail race - within their housing scheme. This relieving arch carried the mill foundations over the tail race.
