Extremely optimistic view, narrow imo. Important to recognize that we lost our first encounter with AI in the form of algorithmic dissemination of information. It's ripping apart our ability to recognize truth from falsehood and is segmenting discourse into more isolated spaces. It's gonna get worse
Within the next 3 years, there will be so much AI, in particular AI video, people won’t know if what they see or hear is real. Which will lead to an explosion of f2f engagement, events and jobs.

Those that were in the office will be in the field.

Call it the Milli Vanilli effect

The reason why I cry listening to these old songs isn't because I want to return to the past.

It's through music that I get to bear witness to all my past selves. I can see the girl and woman I used to be. She doesn't know I'm there.

I know my future self is here, right now, watching these tears.

Really good run down from Naomi Klein about how the modern oligarchic movement is one based on their own perverse logic that is divorced from empathy and ethics.

A lot of people who've analyzed postmodern culture stress how form takes absolute precedent over content. Nowhere is that clearer than using the sound of Rage Against the Machine to rage for the machine

This should be shared everywhere. A particularly steep part of our descent into outright fascism. They want you to feel unsafe if you speak out against the regime, this will go a long way towards actualizing that threat.

Everyone watches it happen on their phones.

Honestly, I have to say a big fuck you to anyone who even remotely implied that @vanhollen.senate.gov’s trip was “pointless.”

This is what leadership looks like. Maybe you can learn a thing or two.

1/ Jonas Ceika does a great job explaining how the foundations of fascism lie not with the lower class but rather with petty bourgeois. I see him lay off these large swaths of lower level bureaucrats, I can't help but wonder if it will leave him in a vulnerable position.
