The wine moms who take daily yoga classes are at least as reactionary as your average blue collar white guy. Probably more reactionary.
Woo is a reactionary force. Its association with hippies concealed this for a long time, but it has always been true.
This is strictly a personal observation from living in LA, but RFK scares me so much because otherwise orthodox liberals with a woo food and chemicals streak are being converted into lunatic conservatives.

When we say Dems enable fascism by helping to build the institutions that fascists will inevitably use to violently repress the population, this is what we are talking about.
As Trump drags us into an Iraq-style war in Venezuela, 312 members of the House — including 115 Democrats — just voted to authorize over $900 billion in military spending.

Trump is morphing into Gollum, just like his Klansman daddy did right before he slipped his mortal coil.

I give him 18 months before he is either dead or a complete invalid.

Just a note to everyone else who has moments of doubt about what they're doing, whether they're capable or talented, just remember that some of the dumbest and privileged fucking people in the world are walking around with all the money and never once consider how unbelievably stupid they are.

Ah yes, architects, accountants, and nurses: famously not professionals.

Any surprise that a man with no taste, a penchant for accounting fraud, and a vendetta against medical professionals is behind this?
Looking at the physical state of the White House, I could see why this move happened.

I expect American buildings to become less safe, less efficient, less creative, and less elegant long-term as a result of the Trump administration's policies

The belief of centerist Dems that they can somehow soften and control the forces of fascism is why we are this mess in the first place.

The entire conservative movement since about 2010 has operated by baiting its base into threatening anybody to the left of George Lincoln Rockwell, and often more than threatening them. That’s how Greene got elected and she can go to hell for all I care.

One commonality shared by pretty much every American who identifies as a centerist - and everyone right of that - is that their thinking is siloed. Making connections is often outside of their skill set, demonstrated by the extremely narrow, oversimplified, unoriginal solutions they offer.
The usual suspects are telling Dems that Epstein won’t win elections, get back to “affordability” and I think my head might explode. www.offmessage.net/p/force-a-re...

"True Believers" like MTG will turn on Trump hardest. They accepted - and ran interference for - all of Trump's criminality because he was their vehicle. The Epstein case is the most salient issue where his instinct for self-preservation outweighs his desire to feed red meat to them.

As long as Dem's Senate leadership remains in place, no one is going to trust Senate Dems. It really is that simple.
The sooner we get past internal recriminations and back to fighting united, the better off we all are — the likelier our victory next November.
