While Maryland Gov. Moore posted about Trans Day of Rememberance, his state was torturing a trans woman by denying her hormones and housing her with men--according to her lawyer--for 2 months.
All of this for "hate crime" charges from alleged vandalism of a trans symbol near a Catholic school.

Some of the most vile rhetoric used by the current administration didn’t come from nominally secular orgs like SEGM. They came from explicitly religious orgs with overt ties to conversion therapy groups like NARTH. The former was created to make the latter palatable in the eyes of the public.
I received gender-affirming care from a Catholic medical organization in WA and they slowly detransitioned me over the course of 3 years before I woke up to what was happening. I already don't think these are safe places to seek care if you are trans.
Many people dismissed the announcement Catholic hospitals will ban gender-affirming care nationwide under the assumption that there will be other options. In reality, Catholic hospitals make up as much 46% of options in some states. This map is 2020, prior to Trump’s assault on safety net hospitals.
