Perhaps many of these TERFs should honestly ponder that question. But they may be afraid of the answer.

This is why TERFs' hate for us is so visceral and personal: We represent a complete inversion of their worldview, an annihilation of their core selves. It's why they're willing to destroy themselves to destroy us.

They believe that suffering and misery at the hands of men is foundational to being a woman. In their minds, the only reason a "man" (in their eyes) could possibly want to be a woman is to hurt them and further their suffering. They can't comprehend anyone taking joy in being a woman.

Being trans and transitioning makes it very clear how fake all our gendered scripts and rules are, which is why these people are trying to ensure that nobody can transition ever again. They need the gender divide to be natural and unquestionable to control all of us, cis or trans.

They implemented their tactics in healthcare systems like these, whose policies allowed providers to go wildly off-script in the name of “conscience.” This blurring of medicine and faith will get so much worse in the next four years, as public dollars are turned over to the church in record numbers.

The langage of “therapeutic choice” now championed in legislation across the country comes from these groups. When NARTH was exposed, they rebranded to the alliance for “therapeutic choice” and “scientific integrity” which should raise some alarms right now.

What happens now is that transition bans are implemented worldwide because now people can point to this and say "well trans 'women' aren't REALLY women." This was always a stepping stone and a key part of the plan.

The dog isn't sitting idle, it's now digging the hole to bury the bone.
