In the throes of agony because I wore heels last week and walked a bit around London (in flats).
Being disabled sucks. I just want pretty heels without it causing my back to feel like packing peanuts being ground to dust.

Can't articulate how I feel about my time better than this tbh.
perhaps the most egregious thing that happened with the Future Class was when The Game Awards took money from Old Spice in the name of the FC & simply... pocketed it
it wasn't used to fund Future Class initiatives, it wasn't used to help lift marginalised developers
they just profited from us

While I’m disappointed in Future Class as a program holy moly do I have so much gratitude for the people in the cohorts. I would follow you all into battle. We are out there doing the work every day to make our industry and art form a better place. Geoff can join us if he wants. Love you all. 💖

Autistic ways of saying “I love you” (that you might miss):
- “I researched your problem. Here are your options”
- “I made a spreadsheet/ list/ plan to help you”
- being ourselves around you (infodumping, not masking etc)
- “Here’s a meme that I think you’d like”

The best neurodivergent inclusion can be kinda invisible.
It’s going somewhere and seamlessly being able to use my AAC.
It’s being given time to process options, or make a decision.
It’s spaces with careful lighting + noise design.
Solving little day to day barriers so everyone can thrive :)

Been feeling the stress lately, and can feel the pull of the ol' eating disorder behaviours.
I bought and ate more food than I needed to at lunch today, and started to feel the spiral of self hate and guilt. But I remembered that allowing myself to have these moments doesn't mean slipping back.

They personally don't need them "yet".
They're basically advocating against their older selves' needs.
Slower reaction times, lower vision, arthritis, shorter memory, smaller attention span, you name it.
They'll come around one day and thank us when they can still play.

Too many gamers are weird about accessibility options in games just because they personally don’t need them.
