It's the final day of 2025! Personally, this year was filled with immense highs and incredibly low lows. So much happened that it feels like 2025 lasted more than a decade. But I'd like to share some of my favorite and proudest moments of this year. Join me for one final 2025 thread!

This technique literally saved my life as a child every time I went to the ER. My mom was PERSISTENT until I was seen. Especially since ER visits as a kid usually meant hospitalizations for me. It's a technique I use as an adult, today.
Something my aunt, who was a nurse for many years, told me and my family over and over again: Be fucking annoying at the hospital.
Not mean or shitty. Just annoying. Make it impossible for them to ignore your loved one and their pain/problem.
Otherwise you will be forgotten or shoved to the side

A 44 year old Edmonton man died after waiting 8 hours in an ER with severe chest pain.
He knew something was wrong.
While this may be shocking to some, it’s not shocking to the chronically ill.
We know how dangerous ERs can be.
