For #VeteransDay today, how about a little good news? Since the VA started tracking homelessness among veterans in 2010, their actions have led to a 55.6% reduction in homeless vets (as of 2024).
To my fellow vets, make sure you're getting any and all benefits you're entitled to!

My internet white whale is the UK Audio Description version of "Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves".
There is, apparently, a version where the AD is narrated by the fabulous Sue Perkins, and I cannot find it anywhere. It's not on any US-based streaming services. It's not on the UK DVD. 😖

Currently I have an Xbox pro elite, whose grips have torn off after 10 months of heavy daily use. Currently held together with rubber bands and duct tape.

Home from a lovely Twitch Con, and as always the highlight was the drag queen makeup showcase! We were lucky enough to go home with an incredible haul of @trixiemattel.bsky.social makeup, and loved getting to see how to utilize it to it's fullest!

New nails for New nails leading up to spooky season!! These are gel nails over Apres tips that I did entirely myself.
Against a black background, I have my left hand fanned our to showcase my fingernails. My nails extend about 5 millimeters past the edge of my fingertips, and are filed in an almond shape. All of them are painted solid black except the pinkie, which is white. The thumb and middle fingers have white crescent moons and star shapes. The pinkie has a single small crescent moon and one star. Close up of the nails, showcasing the flat matte finish over minor unevenness and bumps. The edges of the designs are sharp and clear.

I feel like every service dog handler I know has an Uber service denial story. And it is absolutely exhausting to have to consider whether a lawsuit is a probable outcome, every time you need a ride somewhere.
