I know that there have been people at Microsoft for decades trying to improve the UX of their programs, but it feels like admitting failure to ultimately end up at "I guess we just have to make an opaque, stochastically correct intermediary that users operate instead."

We library folk do a good job talking about all the free services we offer, but I don’t see many of us talking about how libraries are one or the only places where you can use services without being advertised to.
