fun thing i learned yesterday is that c# handles int bit shifting differently than uint bit shifting!

an int shifted several indices right >> will fill all of the empty spaces with the first digit, but a uint will fill them with zeros like this:

1000_0000 >> 4
= 1111_1000 (int)
= 0000_1000 (uint)
