Nimue has written a lovely review of my next book, out on Tuesday!

I love both storytelling and magic, and one of my home traditions has a strong relationship with stories, but I know a lot of people who feel intimidated by the idea of even learning a tale so I wanted to show how easy it could be!

Moon Books are really good to work with, there's a lot of transparency at every stage of the process and the team work hard to help the authors act as a community.

If you've got a pagan book you fancy pitching to a publisher, now is a good time.

*bouncebounce* so excited for this book! And I'm offering a gift to folk who preorder a copy - The Magic of the Voice Masterclass (through any platform, though I encourage you to support indie!)

Remember: your local library will also order books in! Request it!

UK based illustrators, please fill out this survey from AOI by January 31st. The UK government is proposing a new AI policy that would let AI companies freely use copyright protected work without permission — unless you explicitly opt-out.

This sounds like an interesting book!
Having seen quite a few herb discussions this morning, I have a recommendation for a book that I haven't seen a lot of discussion about.

Herbal Constituents is a text that blends traditional herbalism and chemistry. I couldn't recommend it more

Rather than making one big resolution for a new year, I like to do a BINGO sheet with lots of different goals. Even if I fail at one resolution, there are so many other ways to score a win for myself. Here's a blank if you wanna try it out.

You may have seen this post circling talking about how important it is to tell creators when you appreciate what they do.

The irony is it's MY post from Tumblr stolen by someone else. Please reskeet THIS post & NOT the stolen one bc we support creators making their own work on bluesky.

I love this question, and the conversations arising in the comments are golden!

(I've added my response below this quote post, but definitely check out the original thread!)
It's a source of vexation to me that there's no proper word for the study of fairies - and I suspect the absence of such a term may be one reason why the study of fairies doesn't get taken seriously. So what are the potential options? (thread)

It's Mercury retrograde!

I was born under Mercury Retro & somehow do better when it comes around.

So, just saying: don't be worried.

Do tie up loose ends, research, reflect, revisit old interests...

And remember it's only 1 aspect of the sky weather. Look for where things are supportive for you.

AI could be used for marvelous things... Instead we're getting rip-off merchants charging authors $5000 to have AI do the work (probably poorly), & flood the market.

It's a get rich quick scheme for them, exploiting people who like the idea of being published.

Don't feed these trolls.

Today I missed my bus because I got hyperfocused on writing. I'm annoyed at the hour wait for the next one but actually really happy that writing without a deadline is becoming easy again.

Nimue is good people... And writes daily!

Today: on rest as anticapitalist, environmentally friendly, magical practice. 💖

Remember that rest looks different for different folks, and at different times. It might be sleeping, daydreaming, crafting, hiking, reading, socialising with trusted people...
