Before they come to roost the starlings dance at dusk, where the land meets the sea, as the summer turns to winter.
Their flocking is a murmer in the sky, painting messages in a liminal place, twice-liminal time, as groups merge, becoming one, coming home.
Finally they settle down to dream.

Yesterday I got to sing my first ever solo concert, an hour of original songs!!! It went great *happydance*

Re-listening to my latest song I was reminded of how much medicine there is even in songs which are angry, when we're discouraged from expressing anger. I used to sing to furious, angsty, metal because it was a space to be emotionally honest.
