Perhaps the strangest perception of trade unions that exists in the modern media landscape is that we are people who hate to negotiate.  I have…

"It would mean more people could benefit from those frequent Central Line services. It is exactly what I hoped this Labour government might do.

The British government just did something I agree with, and it feels almost gross to mention it. Also: who invented the week? And some Beeching-themed maps.

The true question right now is whether you believe in the moral character of the British public. If you do, you'll want to have the fight with Reform. You'll believe that the public will hate the idea of breaking up families, spying on & deporting people who've worked here for years.

Sky News says police are "overwhelmed by the numbers". Met coped perfectly well with 2x as many at the pro-Gaza rally, 5x as many at the anti-Brexit march, and 15x as many at London Pride.

They're not overwhelmed by the numbers. They're overwhelmed by the ratio of violent thugs in those numbers.

In shocking news, there isn’t actually a war on allotments.

“The amount of sites being sold off in the last year amounts to less than 0.01% of all plots. At this rate, it will take Rayner and the Labour government 40,000 years to build over them.”
Labour's Angela Rayner has been accused of declaring war on allotments after selling eight sites in the last year. We dig into the details.
Is Labour really declaring war on allotments?
