I'm not the biggest #superman fan in the world, but I *do* love well-produced documentaries about nearly any topic. The COMICS CODE is absolutely one of those!

If you're a fan of Supes (or not!) I highly recommend this podcast!

Um… Daniel Craig’s Bond was a total reboot giving him the story of Bond’s first mission as a 00 agent. They just start over again? New Bond, first mission (ish)
James Bond’s death in No Time to Die is causing a nightmare for the next film. Writers are stuck because Bond “was blown to pieces.”

Anthony Horowitz, author of three 007 novels, says:

“You can't have him wake up in shower and saying it was all a dream."

Finally set aside some time to catch up on the first two episodes of The Comics Code podcast by @graemeburk.bsky.social, diving deep into the story behind Siegel and Shuster's creation of Superman. Thorough in its research and gorgeous in its production. I can't recommend it highly enough.

I have an idea: If city council votes to put more money into Lansdowne, the move could include renaming it to "Watson-Sutcliffe Park."

Whatever resulted, good or bad, would be tied to their names indefinitely.

Hey @riverwardriley.bsky.social I get the plan to do repairs on the canal bike path I October/November but for those of us still biking closing off the only access route from the canal to Bank street is dreadful planning.

The Warner Bros YouTube channel posted this today, so kudos to them: the entire one shot from All The President’s Men of Robert Redford on the phone investigating Dahlberg. Screws up the last line, stays in character and recovers. Brilliant. https://youtu.be/UmLNzZsEgA4?si=AY8-0wJOdBGsxN7T&t=196

@riverwardriley.bsky.social I've been biking to work downtown this summer. Today I took transit in.
- New bus routes are so infrequent it was faster to make a 30 minute walk to South Keys
- The line 1 and 2 trains are packed
- Bayview station had no escalators or elevators
Is there any help coming?

Oof. Rolling Stone dot com about to find out how many people were mostly subscribing for Alan Sepinwall.
I know nothing about Rolling Stone and its management, but Alan Sepinwall is the smartest, hardest working TV critic working today. His work has elevated the medium. I don't watch a show without checking to see what he thought of it, before or after.
Rolling Stone fired Alan Sepinwall, Status’ Oliver Darcy reports. That’s probably the end of my subscription.
