One of the weirdest ironies in comics is that people were so bananapants crazy about Kirby’s Superman being off-model when I find Sekowsky’s version of Superman in Justice League of America equally suspect or even worse!

But I loved his Diana Prince Wonder Woman, which I feel is underrated.

I think We Love You Snoopy might be the first Peanuts collection I owned. I bought it through a Scholastic Book Club when I was in first grade.

I didn’t buy The Anatomy Lesson but eventually my town got a comics shop and I got the Demon story and worked back… all because that “clearing the decks” issue no one regards as much was to my mind, a brilliant comic. I loved your breakdown of how it came together and how miraculous that was!

I remember reading this on your blog nearly 20 years ago and loving it. For my 14th birthday my Aunt gave me a bunch of comics including this one. All I knew about Swamp Thing was the paperback reprint of Wein/Wrightson stories when the movie came out. But I was blown away by Loose Ends.

And this is Batman's Aff His Nut by Robert Florence, which, in my opinion, is easily the greatest Scottish poem ever written about Batman...
