Man I am so excited to have the last family Xmas today and share a room with my brother in the fucking national guard.
People are going to try and lure you into debates about whether Maduro was a good guy or not and the thing is, it doesn’t matter for the purposes of discussing whether violent kidnappings and extrajudicial murders by the US government are ok. No, they aren’t! End of convo.

Overall, the concept of aging has never really bothered me. I have always looked forward to growing old with my best friend, and turning into an old cackling weirdo in the woods (as opposed to a young cackling weirdo)

Recently my brother in law explained what gerrymandering was to a coworker and they didn’t believe him because if that were really happening there would be riots in the street
This week I had someone tell me they're not worried about SNAP being cut off because "that's illegal, so it's impossible Trump could do that, so obviously it's just media sensationalism." Another person told me they weren't worried about ICE because "they can't detain you if you're legally here."

The current administration is trying to taking away the legal personhood status of at least two marginalized groups (immigrants, trans folks) in an attempt to make it so the law doesn't apply.
