What this "gmail is scanning your emails for ai and how to turn it off" kerfluffle this week has taught me is that I have apparently been running gmail in its barebones form for years because I don't have any of this stuff folks are losing by turning off the smart features.

The apparently common thing I don't understand is how people have thousands of unread emails. I have... no unread emails. They come in, I read them. I just... how..? Literally can't imagine how this occurs.

I’ve been noticing this as well, and it’s really troubling, particularly having lived through the 90s/00s extreme thinness hell.
So apparently a lot of female celebrities are extremely skinny right now, reminding people of the "heroin chic" beauty standard of the 90s.
I'm not going to share pictures - I feel uncomfortable being like "look at these bodies, they're bad" even when what I'm critiquing is not the bodies

It also fucking sucks that so many people on the Left(s) refuse to understand anti-fatness as a system of oppression, and fat liberation as a legitimate anti-oppression movement.

The apartment building my Grandparents were living in burned down when my mother was a baby. The Salvation Army assisted the other tenants with emergency housing. They wouldn't help my Mom's family because they were Jewish.
I know it's a tad early but I know those bitches with the buckets will be out soon. Don't gove them a penny. The volunteers may not know but the salvation army is no ally and actively combative and harmful to many queer minorities especially during the holiday season

If your game has voice acting, then working with the voice actors is half of your writing process. It's not complete until you've heard it interpreted and reimagined by a voice actor. And they always reimagine it in ways that elevate the writing, in ways you never would have imagined yourself.

I truly can't stress this enough: No one's art is good enough to justify them being miserable to work with. Almost everyone I've worked with has been wonderful, but the handful of folks that weren't brought the whole team down by being egotistical, sexist, condescending, etc.
