Almost every reason people have for defunding or abolishing ICE is also a reason to defund or abolish the police, yet many people who are rightly calling for action against ICE would never come close to doing to the same for police. But this fight goes beyond just ICE. ICE represents a larger issue.

We shouldn't have immigration detention at all. People should be home with their families while awaiting court dates.
We need to get it broadly understood that Stephen Miller's ethnic cleansing will result in a permanent metastasized immigrant carceral state and paramilitary warfare on US streets that goes on *for years.*

This is so fucked up. We already don't teach the dark parts of American history well enough. I remember learning in school that George Washington had wooden teeth. Finding out his dentures were made from teeth ripped out of other men's mouths was radicalizing.
