Law enforcement officers have always been unmasked in this country until ICE started wearing them last year.

*That* is the departure from norms. *That* is the step too far.
Tillis says he opposes ICE being barred from wearing masks: "I've seen people dox me. I've seen people take pictures and identify law enforcement officers and then put their families at risk. So, I think that's a step too far."

An extraordinary document. Read it.

“Attached to this order is an appendix that identifies 96 court orders that ICE has violated in 74 cases. … ICE has likely violated more court orders in January 2026 than some federal agencies have violated in their entire existence.”

What happened tonight is a scary reminder of the rise of violence against women in politics that has been fueled by the misogynistic and bigoted rhetoric the Trump administration has promoted.

Sending solidarity to you @ilhanmn.bsky.social and the Minnesotans you are fighting alongside.
I’m ok. I’m a survivor so this small agitator isn’t going to intimidate me from doing my work.

I don’t let bullies win.

Grateful to my incredible constituents who rallied behind me. Minnesota strong.

The horror of the execution of a peaceful legal observer by a masked CBP officer does not erase the beauty, courage & grace of the people-incl educators and students -who love their neighbors. May Alex Pretti’s name be for a blessing, especially for these wonderful humans youtu.be/t4r7tJ9oZT4?...

Genuinely interesting. Kristi Noem is snitching that Stephen Miller is the one who made up the bullshit about Alex Pretti.

It would be genuinely useful if Congress can get her to admit that he has been dictating ALL OF THIS just like he dictated the murderboats.

These matter hugely to criminal justice & policing—including: *these are often officials who decide ICE collaboration.*

So I took a dive into these 2,400+ races to identify early hotspots and battlegrounds.

Read, & check out our maps:

Our analysis at @bellingcat.com on the killing of Alex Pretti breaks down the video evidence.

He never reached for his gun.
Agents sprayed/tackled him while his hands were up.
He was disarmed before he was shot.
The first shot came from an agent firing at him.

There must be independent investigations as this govt is not just breaking the law, not just engaging in state sponsored violence but stripping Americans of basic constitutional rights. We are at an inflection point for our democracy and fundamental freedoms
The killings of Renee Good & Alex Pretti show Trump's DHS culture is rotten to its core.

Trump, Vance, Noem, & Miller have made these agents feel immune from the consequences of their actions.

That must change. Everyone involved in these operations must be held accountable.

Congress is not powerless. Democrats must unify around an actual agenda.

1. Vote no on DHS funding bill.

2. Repeal the multi-year $75 billion funding for ICE.

3. End qualified immunity for ICE agents.

4. Investigate and prosecute every single ICE agent who broke the law.
