I am extremely disappointed that Charlotte Nichols MP continues to promote this frivolous and pointless campaign, rather than addressing the transphobia that actually led to Brianna Ghey being murdered.
On Brianna's 19th birthday, this morning I joined @cheshirepcc.bsky.social and the Brianna Ghey Legacy Project Phone Free Education campaign at the launch at Jodrell Bank of a new £150k initiative to make Cheshire the first county in the UK where ALL state high schools have lockable phone pouches.

"Are there even any-" it doesn't matter. Banning the few trans athletes isn't the point. The point, from Trump's ban on trans people in government to Britain's bathroom ban to Newsom's sports ban, is to make sure everyone knows trans women are OTHER and to act accordingly to us in their daily lives.

you don't hear much about the anti-bedtime right
Tax policy on the British left is pure "anti-bedtime left". Bizarre idea that you can have a big social democratic welfare state without everyone contributing properly www.economist.com/britain/2025...

There is nothing whatsoever radical about those policies, no, but they are also very much not a given "in Europe." Kind of a weird claim from a factual accuracy standpoint.
Europeans recognize Zohran Mamdani’s supposedly radical policies as ‘normal’ -- Critics of New York City’s mayor-elect have said his pledges of free bus service and universal childcare are unrealistic, but in Europe it’s a given www.theguardian.com/us-news/2025...

raven turned to me like "ok that's why you wanted us to watch this, because it's about lesbians". but i had no idea! it was just a delightful surprise!

vince kept saying he made pluribus because he didn't see any old fashioned heroes on tv. so if breaking bad was walt gradually becoming the worst version of himself, is this show about carol gradually becoming the best version of herself.

I mean, if some kid at the BBC had said Rod Liddle is a truthless bigot and a shitehawk who should be nowhere near a current affairs show, is that wrong? Of course it isn’t wrong, it’s precisely correct. But what, we should be terrified of it because it upsets some of Britain’s worst shitheads? Nope

people doubt ai, but it just did something no human has ever managed: make vince gilligan say something mean.
Vince Gilligan had the 'Pluribus' credits include 'this show was made by humans'
"I hate AI. AI is the world’s most expensive and energy-intensive plagiarism machine. I think there’s a very high possibility that this is all a bunch of horseshit"

I think it speaks volumes in these cases about who is being intimidated and bullied given that pictures of trans women are often blurry candids snapped by journos outside the court whereas the cis women are in posed group photographs.
the absolute gall of these bigots to complain about someone allegedly giving them evil looks AFTER THEY HAVE DECIDED SHE IS A DANGER TO THEM AND THEY'VE TRIED TO GET HER FIRED AND/OR BANNED FROM USING THE BATHROMS.
