one of my favourite food facts
Americans put brown sauce on steak?!?!?!?!? good god this is the last they get to say anything about baked beans.
i continue to be fascinated by the american right wing absolute certainty that britain, as megyn kelly says here, "ceded your culture to a bunch of radical muslims". where did that come from. i know it's just far right propaganda but, like, how and why is that the line.
Megyn Kelly just shouting “FOOTBALL IS OURS” at Piers Morgan about Bad Bunny’s Super Bowl show is the perfect example of this moment in time. Put it in a time capsule and send it out into space.

It is, you have to admit, class that Wes Streeting managed to leak texts with Peter Mandelson that outlined his policy differences with the current leadership

if labour were dominating the polls right now, starmer would weather the storm.

the way british politics basically works is that when the prime minister is really unpopular, other people in the party will wait for a scandal to hit then use it as pretext for why the prime minister will be forced out. that's just what happens at this point.
February 9, 2026 at 11:59 PM
along with prime ministers not being presidents, starmer is wildly unpopular and everyone has been talking about how there's no way he'll last until the next election for ages. they've been looking to dump him. different situation entirely.
U.K. might lose a prime minister because a guy who worked for him knew another guy who hung out with Epstein. Meanwhile the U.S. opposition party is telling our President, who was Epstein's best friend, that his secret police should get better training so their public street murders look less messy.

typical government dysfunction, he's never properly prepared for anything

The A24 film Marty Supreme has surpassed Everything Everywhere All at Once to become the studio's highest-grossing movie ever.

the funniest scenario of all would be if starmer is gone before the gorton and denton by-election, in which they will not be running the obvious viable successor.

keir starmer does not have a direct mandate the way trump or any other us president ever elected has. no one other than 19k people in his constituency actually voted for keir starmer on the ballot.

i don't think it says much about the values of uk vs us so much as a prime minister is just a job you can lose at any time

that's just describing the difference between a prime minister and a president
it will really be something if the Epstein Files unseat a British Prime Minster who isn't in them, and not the American President who was Epstein's best friend.

saw a youtube rip of an old vhs tape opening in 1080p 60fps. unhinged behaviour.

This is fun, but it has BBC Newsnight, LBC, Rory Stewart, Emily Maitliss and Ian Dunt under "British Progressive Voices". So now I'm wondering if those Brazillian furries are even furries.

I've seen some similar projects, but IMO this seems to better capture some of the fine-grained detail
