Hot take: Gambling minigames that don't incorporate real world money can be a safe way for kids to learn about gambling. (In the very least it's safer than lootboxes or gatcha systems that cost real money)

Beyond disappointed to learn that Arc Raiders, like The Finals before it, uses AI voice acting.
So many iconic game voice work is little vendor greetings, and to farm that out to a machine is a hollow admission of a lack of care.

Gaming discourse has lowkey always been this way. Gamers look at every trend as either a total fad or the future of gaming. Digital v physical, mobile phones v handhelds, etc. Old G4 reviews talked about turn based combat like it's going the way of the dinosaurs.
