numerous times where the response is some variation on "welcome to being a woman", claiming it was the trans woman's fault, etc. in general abuse, esp. abuse of women, is never taken seriously, but much of the world *requires* the abuse of trans women to hold the structure of gender violence intact
Something I almost never talk about bc it seems like no one other than trans women care is that when we talk about being survivors of CSA, abuse, IPV, all the violences...people don't care. Or they think it's funny. Or we're like, "exaggerating." It's not REAL abuse. Like if a REAL woman was abused
