periodically I'll see a backlash that goes a little too far or seems kinda unfair. i never say anything because i think we need to be kinda unhinged and zealous in our response to this shit. I'd take an honest-to-God crusade against this stuff over letting it proliferate.

This would have saved me nearly $1000 in speeding tickets across 20+ years of driving.
My least popular (and most correct) view is that cars should be automatically limited to the local speed limit. Put the pedal to the floor and you still can't go over 25mph in a residential area.

Friendly reminder that Universities excluded women and POCs because they primarily taught failsons & nepobabies how to network in high society and business circles.
A lot of education discourse is at root an inability to decide whether the purpose of our education system is to 1) teach material and measure learning 2) reward students who work hard 3) separate the smart kids (destined for smart guy jobs) from the dumb kids (destined to serve the smart guys)

These are terrible people who enjoy suffering they believe to be justified. I think it’s important to add that this is caused by the Conservative Protestant Work Ethic, just world illusion, and deservingness judgments, not just pure sadism. Dismantling those permission structures is essential.

The end of this thought is “I’m cool with my loving wife and mother of my children burning in hell for all eternity cause free will”. I don’t know how better to convey the horror of the free will and divine justice illusions working in tandum.
